The World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre is an important new building at the British museum.

It is designed to accommodate state of-the-art laboratories and studios for the conservation, preservation and research of the collection. It will also incorporate new exhibition space and facilities to support the Museum's extensive national and international loans programme.

Waco was contracted to supply and install a 3 storey modular building supported on a gantry elevated over Montague Place to the rear of the main museum entrance. The modular building provides welfare facilities for the construction workers of the new extension.

TCi was asked to provided the welfare storage for the construction workers. This required the supply and installation of Wire mesh lockers. These allow for visibility, air circulation and facilitate in drying and avoiding damp build up in a heavily used working environment.
