Once again, TCi was nominated in several categories at the annual HPC Awards and picked up TWO trophies.
Representatives from contracting and staff teams across the EDF Energy Hinkley Point C project assembled at the Macmillan Theatre in Bridgwater for the awards ceremony.
The evening recognised 60 finalists and 22 best in class winners across four themes of Safety, Supply Chain Technical and People.
Team TCi received the award for Best Onsite Supplier.
“We always strive to innovate and find solutions at HPC through a collaborative approach. Thanks to an outstanding team and supply network, we are able to provide a flexible and efficient service, overcoming challenges to meet requirements.” Said Alex Perkis, TCi Operations Director
In the “People” category, Alex Perkis was presented with the Outstanding Leader Award
“I am overjoyed to receive this award and it is a real honour. It wouldn’t be possible, however, without the support of an exceptional team, both on site and at our head office. What we have achieved as a team together over the past year has been little short of incredible. Long may it continue.”
At the beginning of the evening, a video was presented which takes in some of the incredible achievements and progress made in two years of construction.
Nigel Cann, the project’s Programme and Construction Delivery Director, said; “2018 has been a year of huge progress for us with all our milestones achieved and the projection-schedule to complete the foundations of unit one next year. I am extremely proud to see so many people from Hinkley Point C’s fantastic team gathered together, especially those that represent our local partners from across Somerset who are making a huge difference to a nationally important project.”
The award rounds off an excellent year for TCi, after being named North Devon’s “Most Outstanding Business of the Year 2018” and achieving success once again at the Considerate Constructors Scheme awards.
