Site Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our award winning team as a Site Manager based at various sites across the South (working away required):

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan the work and oversee the buying of necessary materials and equipment
  • Manage staff for the project
  • Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress
  • Check design documents with architects, surveyors and engineers
  • Promote and maintain Health & Safety and Environmental, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed
  • Responsibility for the creation, review and amendment of method statements & risk assessments as required
  • Always comply with TCi policies and procedures and any relevant legislation
  • Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with clients and their representatives to inform them of progress on the project
  • Comply with site specific plans, policies and procedures
  • Keep up to date site diary and reports (including client reports)
  • Communicate with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, supply chain and others involved in the project
  • Deal with any unexpected problems that may occur during the project and make higher management aware. In unexpected situations outside of your control, ensure you always liaise with higher management
  • Plan and manage project specific traffic management
  • Carry out all required paperwork and administrative tasks applicable to project
  • Use TCi back office system and any other management systems required
  • Carry out any additional tasks when required

  • Awareness of Health and Safety procedures and legislation
  • Sound commercial awareness
  • Maths and I.T. skills
  • Knowledge of relevant building methods


  • Full Driving Licence
  • Willing to work away often
  • PAYE comes with competitive rates of pay and a company van
  • Hours 7:30-16:30 (excluding travel)
  • CSCS Card Required
