We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Site Manager, based in Yeovil.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager in coordinating and supervising trades, direct labour and materials to meet the programme
- Accept responsibility for such duties and responsibilities as the Site Manager may determine; in particular, as and when required, deputise for the Site Manager
- Support the Site Manager, in ensuring that the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these, in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site’s workload and resources
- Be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to customers at all times
- Comply with TCi policies and procedures
- Working with the Site Manager, supervise all sub-contractors and trades
- Ensure working methods are performed correctly at all times and encourage safe working practices on site
- Complete relevant documentation as required
- Complete and review RAMS as required
- Contribute to improving the business, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change
- Deliver Set to Work Briefs to all operating prior to starting works on site
- Drive TCi Health & Safety Standards across all sites
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping on site and within the welfare areas
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, professionals and site operatives
- Leadership skills and an ability to motivate your team to ensure a high standard of work
- Planning and organisational skills for monitoring project plans and utilising time and resources effectively
- Resilience and problem-solving skills to overcome unexpected challenges
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Awareness of Health and Safety procedures and legislation
- Commercial awareness
- Maths and I.T skills
- Knowledge of relevant building methods
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to pass Drugs & Alcohol (D&A) testing and BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) vetting.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
