We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Safety, Health and Environment Apprentice to join our team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver training and present data applicable to HS&E
- Assist the management team in the development, management, implementation and monitoring on the management system
- Updating systems in line with changes to legislation or best practice
- Undertake workplace inspections
- Provide advice on the practical implementation of policies and procedures
- Carry out risk assessments and method statements
- Support practical application of safe use of equipment, materials and products
- Assist with monitoring of SHE performance reporting
- Assist in the preparations and maintenance of records such as (PUWER, Lifting Operations, HAVS etc)
- Research HS&E issues and best practices
- Assist in the investigations of accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and other incidents as directed
Requirements:
- Effective communication – both spoken and written
- Be able to work effectively in a team (colleagues, suppliers, clients and public)
- Confident to lead by example and challenge behaviour inconsistent with SHE culture
- Adaptable to organisational change
- Knowledge/skills of use of universal software, word, excel, et
