Grand opening ceremony for Barnstaple Headquarters

Fast-growing construction & interiors contractor, TCi (GB) Ltd celebrates the official opening of brand-new, purpose-built, head office facility in North Devon.

The construction, fit-out and commercial furniture specialist has enjoyed impressive growth as a contractor to clients across nuclear, pharmaceutical, defence and other highly regulated industries, and as a supply chain partner for major developments throughout the UK.

Following a speech to the special guest attendees and TCi staff, the ribbon was cut by Isabel Martinson MBE, Executive Chairman of the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

Managing Director, Alex Perkis, said;

“this occasion marks a significant milestone in the TCi success story, demonstrating expansion as a business and as an employer. That we have been able to create this amazing space at such a busy time for the company has been something of a miracle and testament to our staff and suppliers for pulling together to ensure everything went smoothly on such a tight schedule.” He continued, “It’s a pleasure to be able to welcome our guests to a premises that I feel represents everything we stand for, setting an example for quality, staff wellbeing and environmental engagement.”

Representatives from TCi’s chosen charity, North Devon Hospice were in attendance and thanked employees for their continued support and fundraising throughout the year. Catering was provided by Somerset Larder, for whom TCi construction WORKS completed a 10,000sqft production kitchen in 2018.

The attractive offices occupy brand new units on the outskirts of Barnstaple within an industrial estate that was constructed by TCi and completed in 2020. A visually striking, modern office space has been created within, making excellent use of glass and natural wood features, exposed mechanical services and an abundance of living plants.

Set across two levels, incorporating space for the separate construction and furniture divisions with a generously-proportioned central atrium, large boardroom, training room and individual offices, the space is an excellent example of what can be achieved within a few steel-framed units.

Adrian Sealey, TCi’s Chairman added;

“I would like to thank Isabel Martinson MBE for honouring us by officially opening our new premises. TCi has been proud member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme for many years. We embed the values of the scheme into everything we do and have been recognised with great achievements in the annual members’ awards”
