TCi is over the moon to have made the final cut at the South West Built Environment Awards
The annual awards hosted by Constructing Excellence South West recognise achievements and good practice within the construction industry allowing businesses to compete at a regional level.
This year’s event will be held on 22nd June at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol and promises to be a highly prestigious event, with some of the UK’s biggest construction names in attendance.
About TCi
TCi (GB) Ltd began life in 2006 as an independent supplier of commercial office furniture and quickly became established within the construction industry, supplying and installing furniture and welfare for site setup facilities. As business developed over the following few years, TCi established an interior fit-out and refurbishment capability to deliver turnkey workplace projects. A large contract to refurbish laboratories at a local pharmaceutical company provided the opportunity for TCi to build on its experience of clean-room and containment areas, giving the business a valuable specialism.
By taking advantage of some key opportunities with steady growth, this dynamic small company has been able to prepare impressive tenders. It has become a serious bidder within both the office furniture and construction/refurbishment markets. In 2016 TCi was announced as the tier 1 FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) contractor to EDF Hinkley Point C and has since won a number of small construction packages within the project, including the £4m central production kitchen. In addition to this, contracts with pharmaceutical and high-end manufacturers in the South West, alongside increased volumes of furniture installation at prestigious building developments have contributed to an impressive increase in turnover during the last two years.
At each step of the way, the success of the company has been down to the unique way in which the team has been assembled, based on the ability of individuals to work together, utilising a wide variety of available skills.
At the beginning of 2017, TCi (GB) Ltd developed two new brands to identify the two distinct sides to the business. TCi construction WORKS provides specialist commercial fit-out and refurbishment in the South West, whilst TCi furniture WORKS operates a commercial office and welfare furniture supply and install service throughout the UK.
