TCi is pleased to have been shortlisted for not just one, but two awards at this year’s North Devon Journal awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony, which takes place at High Bullen Hotel Golf & Country Cub, recognises the exceptional calibre and diversity of the region’s business community.
TCi won Medium-Sized Business of the Year in 2016 and was shortlisted in 2017 for Apprentice of the Year and Made in North Devon. This year the company, which has enjoyed successful growth over the past few years, has been selected as a finalist in the Business Growth and Apprentice Employer categories.
Year-on-year growth of over 100% since 2015 has enabled the company to become a substantial employer in Bideford, adding to an already successful apprentice base. The requirement for new trainee employees across the business means that opportunities for multi-trade construction apprentices, health and safety and administration trainee roles have been created, with those who have completed their courses progressing onto further training. Alongside the apprentices, many of TCi’s new and existing staff have embarked on professional development in order to improve the business in the long term.
UPDATE: CORRECTION to the #NDJBiz Awards shortlist announcement:
Whilst we are super excited to be finalists for the North Devon Journal Business Awards, TCi would like to clarify that contrary to the printed information in this week’s edition of the North Devon Journal, we DID NOT ENTER AND HAVE NOT BEEN SHORTLISTED FOR THE MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE OF THE YEAR CATEGORY. We are proud to be surrounded by such a vibrant community of manufacturers, many of whom are TCi’s customers and suppliers, and are a crucial part of the success we have achieved as a national furniture supplier and commercial construction and refurbishment specialist.
The North Devon Journal has since apologised for any confusion caused by the misprint.
We would like to wish the very best of luck to the ACTUAL shortlist for Manufacturing Excellence of the Year: The Sign Maker, Aramis Rugby, Helitune Ltd. and Smart Manufacturing Ltd
