Site Manager – Infrastructure / M&E Projects – Portsmouth

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join our team at Portsmouth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day delivery of infrastructure and M&E-related construction works
  • Coordinate subcontractors delivering mechanical installations, steelwork, plant installations and associated building works
  • Oversee site activities including lifting operations, plant installation and structural modifications
  • Review engineering drawings, mechanical layouts and installation sequences
  • Manage site logistics in a live operational dockyard environment
  • Ensure all works comply with H&S regulations, permits and operational constraints
  • Prepare and review RAMS, lift plans and site safety documentation
  • Monitor programme progress and coordinate multiple trades
  • Maintain accurate site records including site diaries and progress reports
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants and the client team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial, infrastructure or M&E projects
  • Experience managing plant installations, mechanical works or heavy infrastructure
  • Strong coordination skills managing multiple subcontractors
  • Experience working in operational facilities or live environments
  • Understanding of mechanical services, plant installations or industrial construction
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Competent in maths and IT skills relevant to site management.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
  • CSCS (Managers card preferred)
  • First Aid at Work, Temporary Works and Appointed Person / Lift Supervisor Certification desirable
  • Ability to pass Drugs & Alcohol (D&A) testing and BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) vetting.
  • First Aid at Work desirable
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
