TCi recognised at The National Apprenticeship Awards 2024!

TCi collects “highly commended” trophy for the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Award!

The SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Award recognises employers who are committed and contributing to apprenticeships and the success that apprentices can bring to their organisation.

Alongside TCi attending the regional awards ceremony in Bristol were companies such as Rolls Royce, Royal Mail, The NHS Trust, BBC, Thatcher’s Cider and many more. Inspiring sponsor speeches on the day came from Amazon, Lloyds banking group, The Royal Navy, The British Army and The Royal Air Force.

Managing Director, Alex, and Marketing Apprentice, Zoë, stepped forward to receive the highly commended trophy for BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT SME Apprenticeship Employer at the South West National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards 2024.

Alex said;

“TCi is honoured to have been recognised amongst the UK’s top businesses that are making great strides in employing, supporting, and advocating for apprenticeships. Staff development remains a critical element of TCi’s ongoing strategy and I look forward to welcoming many more apprentices through the doors as we continue to grow.”

TCi has been committed to investing in apprenticeships, over the past decade, aiming to cultivate well-rounded, experienced people, not only enhancing the workforce but also ensuring a sustainable future for the business.

Many former apprentices now hold senior positions within the company, including Human Resources Manager and Project Director, whilst others have developed highly valued niche roles in technical quality and operations.

These functions would be impossible to fill from the local talent pool and are a great example of the foresight that inspired TCi to first embrace apprenticeships ahead of a period of exponential growth.

TCi’s outstanding approach to employee development has seen the company onboard 5 apprentices on foundation, undergraduate or master’s degree courses in the past year, with more scheduled to join shortly. This initiative, along with a programme of training roles, not only helps bridge local talent shortages but also fosters a culture of growth and development within the organisation.

Congratulations to all who succeeded in their category during the spectacular celebration at Cadbury House!
