TCi welcomes new leadership at the beginning of a new phase of development for the company
On 26th June 2020, Owner and Managing Director, Adrian Sealey will assume to the role of Chairman, appointing, Alex Perkis (currently Operations Director) in his place to continue the successful growth and development of the Bideford-based firm.
Although remaining fully active as the owner of the business owner and key decision maker, he is putting day-to-day operations in Alex’s capable hands.
Over the past 14 years, Adrian has built a firm foundation and excellent reputation for TCi as the go-to provider of construction site and office furniture and specialist construction services, including new-build projects and high-specification interiors
Until recently, the company has been led by a directorship of Adrian with wife Rebecca as secretary. “Without Rebecca’s support throughout, we would never have got to where we are today” he explains.
The appointment of a board of directors in January of last year marked the beginning of a process to recognise the contribution of key, senior staff members. Longstanding Accounts Manager, Alex Slee, was elevated to the position of Finance Director and TCi’s Head of Construction, Jim Capron, became Director of Construction. The introduction of an annual profit share for employees allows everyone to benefit directly from the success of the company.
TCi has become a substantial local employer, well known and recognised throughout the South West with the unmistakable white and green vans and trucks familiar across the South West and throughout the UK.
Ahead of a planned expansion into new, purpose-built premises at the end of the year, this is another significant milestone in what has been a continuous upward trend for TCi. This growth and success has not only benefitted direct employees, but has been good news for local supply chain partners and sub-contractors too.
Speaking on his appointment as Managing Director, Alex Perkis explained; “I would like to thank Adrian for giving me the opportunity to take TCi forward as a business. I am aware of, and accept the huge responsibility on my shoulders to continue the great achievements of the past 14 years and protect the safety and security of our dedicated workforce. On behalf of the board of directors, I wish him all the best in his new role.”
Adrian will continue to pursue interests in commercial property and agriculture as well as keeping a firm hand on top-level decisions at TCi. An expanding legacy of local and national success is set to continue, bringing prosperity to everyone involved.
