Zero Emission van joins the TCi fleet

Mercedes eVito fully electric van enters service as part of low carbon fleet strategy

Serving operations from TCi’s base in Bridgwater, Somerset, the new vehicle features a bespoke livery and is set to deliver a substantial carbon saving over a diesel equivalent.

The adoption of a zero-emission van is part of a company-wide fleet selection strategy which prioritises electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles over traditional petrol and diesel vans and cars. The latest addition means that electric/hybrid vehicles now make up 18% of TCi’s fleet.

Ben Gibbs, Marketing & Sustainability Manager commented:

The carbon saving has been noticeable as mileage is the biggest contributor to our scope 1 & 2 footprint. Having recently replaced several pick-up trucks and vans with greener transport, we’re really seeing the benefit! It’s great that our environmental strategy is taken seriously at every level and that these changes are able to take place in a forward-thinking company like TCi
