Each year, staff at TCi vote on a charity focus for the year ahead and this year, they will be supporting Breast Cancer Now!
Employees engage in fundraising activities for the nominated charity through a variety of events and activities held throughout the year.
Breast Cancer Now is the United Kingdom’s largest breast cancer charity. Their mission is to be recognised as the place to turn for information and support on everything to do with breast cancer. They want to make sure that by 2050 everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives, and is supported to live well!
Breast Cancer Now has been improving treatments, care, and services for those affected by secondary breast cancer and improving support for the physical and mental health of people affected by breast cancer for 50 years.
They have already invested £299 million in world-class research that helps discover how to prevent breast cancer, save lives and help people to live well with the disease, also offering a free helpline to speak to specialist nurses.
Everyone at TCi is looking forward to getting involved with activities throughout the year to raise money and bring in donations for this great cause. Some of the plans already include;
- Climbing Machu Picchu via the Inca Trail
- Running an inflatable 5k
- Walking challenges
- Bake sales
- A cycling challenge
- Wear it pink days
- Dressdown Fridays
- A Christmas raffle… and much more!
TCi has a strong history of supporting charities locally and nationally! In 2023 TCi raised over £12,000 for local charity Family Compass and in 2022 over £10,000 was raised for Care for Kids. The team hopes to repeat this success for Breast Cancer Now.
